Let’s start preparing our chocolate pears. If we have fresh pears available, peel them and immerse them whole in a saucepan with water, sugar and cinnamon; then drain them and cut them in half by removing the core.

If, on the other hand, we opt for pears in syrup, drain them and dry them very well with kitchen paper.

We take 4 cups and in each one we put a scoop of ice cream; then put them back in the freezer. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with the cream in a warm bain-marie and mix quickly to obtain a smooth and homogeneous sauce.

We take the cups from the freezer, place the half pears with the inside in contact with the ice cream and pour over the chocolate sauce. Our chocolate pears are ready. We can garnish with almond flakes. We serve immediately.

Useful tips for preparing chocolate pears:

The temperature of the water bath should not be too hot. In that case the chocolate will tend to clump instead of melting.
